Many many years ago, so many I really can’t remember when lol I saw a post on Facebook, a lady by the name of Laura was asking for help with her website. I had some free time at the time so I replied to her to see if I could help resolve her issue. As it turned out, her previous web designer who was a friend had stopped replying to her queries regarding changes on her website. This person had created her site and organised the domain purchase and hosting. He did not allow her to make any changes to her front page and no access beyond making posts and tending to the products etc.
I used wordpress plugins to download copies of her database and files and since the domain name was actually purchased in her name I guided her on regaining control of her domain and transferring to to a new provider with new hosting. Once I had her website up and running on the new hosting, I gave it a fresh new look with her new logo and taught her how she can make changes where she needed. I provided support incase she needed me to fix anything but I created the front page to be easily customisable for her.
